It's difficult to predict the future, to calculate all possible outcomes in any given situation. This series was inspired by the TV series of the same name, and I imagined myself in the place of those aliens, realizing that any moment on their home planet could be their last. This dependence on forces beyond the control and understanding of the human mind is partly frightening, but it also frees you. It creates a desire to engage in dialogue with this inhuman agency.
